Regular Volunteering
Every week, a merry band of volunteers join us on the farm to help us tend our crops and pick & pack veg for their local community. No experience necessary, and warm fuzzy feeling guaranteed.
Tuesday Volunteer Days (every week, 9-4pm)
Tuesday is our veg bag day, and our regular weekly volunteer day at Teign Greens. We start the day harvesting whatever’s ready on the farm, and then some come to pack the veg up for local households and community partners, and others tackle important tasks like sowing seeds, planting, and weeding. We start at 9am and continue until about 4pm, but you're welcome to drop in for an hour or two if that suits you better.
Saturday volunteer mornings (2nd Saturday of the month, 9:30-1pm)
Our monthly volunteer mornings are a great way to make a big impact, and they’re especially suited to those of you who can’t commit to coming regularly. These sessions often focus on big tasks like building compost heaps, planting potatoes or harvesting squash. They take place on the second Saturday of each month from 9.30am to 1pm, but you’re welcome to drop in just for a short while. Our Saturdays are family friendly, we always make sure we plan something for little hands like filling up pots with compost, harvesting beans or painting signs. And if they need a break, there’s a much loved climbing frame and rope swing they can head to! So we can gauge numbers, it’s helpful if you book your place in advance – just click here.
